Tasintha programme is a grass root Non-Governmental organization (NGO), a non- profit making, non partisan and interdenominational in nature that was established on the 1^st of April, 1992. The aim of the programme is to address issues of the children and women living in hazardous situations of sex work, sexually transmitted infections and HIV/AIDS. The programme believes in enabling strategies that promote rehabilitation, recovery and restoration of victims of prostitution. Tasintha also promotes strategies that prevent women and girls from pursuing sex work.
