{"id":15,"date":"2014-10-16T06:20:01","date_gmt":"2014-10-16T06:20:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tasinthazambia.org.pirengo.org\/?page_id=15"},"modified":"2014-10-16T06:20:01","modified_gmt":"2014-10-16T06:20:01","slug":"where-we-work","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/tasinthazambia.engoindia.org\/?page_id=15","title":{"rendered":"Where we work"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tasintha programme operates in the following towns;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Lusaka (Head Office)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Kapiri- Mposhi ,Chirundu,Chipata ,Mkushi<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u00a0What we do<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Recruitment and rehabilitation,(currently we \u2018re working with over 400 women in sites)<\/li>\n<li>Provision of life saving and professional skills<\/li>\n<li>Peanut Butter Making<\/li>\n<li>Sex workers\u2019 children welfare(educational and nutritional support)<\/li>\n<li>Health services (reproductive health, psycho-social counseling and nutritional education)<\/li>\n<li>Advocacy for human rights and protection against abuse of women and children engaged or associated with sex work.<\/li>\n<li>Awareness Activities<\/li>\n<li>Tasintha participation in r4m<br \/>\n(ready for marriage), In 2011, Tasintha programme partnered with MUVI TV in an extra ordinary ready for marriage season III which featured sex workers who were ready to \u201c throw the towel\u201d of sex work and open a new page in their lives. Four of the 18 contestants were from our programme.<\/li>\n<li>Forming of SELF HELP GROUPs<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Women undergoing rehabilitation process at Tasintha are able to draw their resource together which enables them to lend out as loans to each other so that they are able to start and run their own businesses through organised savings called <strong>Grow Our Wealth Self Help Group<\/strong>.
